Tattoo. Yes or no? Going the inbetween.

Have we not all once thought about getting a tattoo? I have a lot of friends who are seeking to get one. However, I am always contemplating and have my mother’s words in my mind: ‘Imagine yourself in 20 years’. So after a lot of arguments, discussions and read abouts on the web, I decided for myself not to go for one. Nevertheless, I do admire those who are so brave and get one. A lot say, it is the moment they want to capture. In the future, they will always be able to review it.

Whatever, I do not want to start about it on here again. Anyways, the other day I was scrolling down my newsfeed and discovered a very well known way of how to decorate your body: adhesive tattoos. We all loved them when we were children and now I think the time is back that I shall get some. The ones that actually attracted my attention are by Skin Feelings and cost around 10 euros. They hold for one to five days when you are lucky. But for the right occasion, I think it’s worth it! So I decided to contact the brand and discovered an even greater thing in their PR  presentation! The founder of Skin Feelings, Leslie Suman, previously established a web page called WearYouAre.com. Here you can find the best online shops and the search for the wanted item or inspiration is much less wasting time. Thank you Leslie for both things.

Regarding the designs of the tattoos from Skin Feelings: They are just suitable for the time being and add the perfection to your summer outfit. Infinity signs, ‘wild and free’, heats, starts, … the number of options is endless. However, in case you cannot find the right image, I recommend you to design your personal one on Print-Tattoo.

So I hope you like this little input and let me know if your going to purchase it. I would love to see some photos. Mine will be in the mail soonish. I just can’t decide which one to take yet ;)

Berlin Fashion Network and German Garmet

One of the many inspiring Pop up shops I visited last week in Berlin was Berlin Fashion Network. While having a couple of drinks I was wondering around, meeting eccentric people. The concept however, won my heart!

You can imagine it like this: On the left side, you find the brand 'German Garment' which is a collaboration by Joko Winterscheidt, Matthias Schweighoefer, Thomas Koehler and Oliver Schleith. After looking into the air for about a minute, Joko finally found a three words he could describe the establishment with: magic cloud surfing. After our little conversation, I went into the shop and totally agreed. It is the direct mirror image of music on fabric.

However, more had to be said by one of the runners of the Berlin fashion network. He emphasised the quality rich fabrics, (the super friendly service), and the very fair prices (at the moment, a lot is on sale! -> 20 euros a T-Shirt!). The community was born in 2004 and you can imagine about 300 shirts to be sold a month. Hence, if you buy one, barely anyone else will have it around you.
As mentioned above, the clothes are a mirror image of musical vibes. Next to travelling, this is the greatest inspiration to the chosen designers. Talking about travelling, it is said, that there is not one country to be the favourite for our favourite hobby, instead he chose the world. As far as I can tell from the owners expressions, he sees the world to be limitless and open. That is what I liked about it!

So next to German celebrities' works, we find independent designers' creations on the right side. As an example, I shall call out Anne Schmuhl (focussing on trouser designs) and AD Deertz (only men, though, I would wear the scarves as well).

Have a look online and find your own inspirations. I found it worth it, talking to Joko and Co for more than half an hour, as the story behind the concept is what is in my interest.

@ paez pop up shop party

Last week, in between so many other pop up openings, I decided to visit the Paez pop up shop in the Rosa Luxemburg street. Luckily I went! I got to know most interesting people as well the brand in further detail. After long talks with the PR manager, the designer as well as other associates and friends of the brand, I am able to give the most positive feedback.

Not only the atmosphere was chilled out and relaxed, as well as professional and welcoming, but the collections I saw, both for male and female were most persuading. In case you do not know the brand yet, I think those couple of words succumb a true impression.

The Argentinian brand (established in 2006) was able to evolve a strong community in more than 30 countries until now. The idea came from only three people who decided to take the traditional idea further to allow young people to discover some older styles again. The motif of the brand is clear as you can see in the following photos as well as on the web page: Buena ambiente (good vibes). Colourful. Growing. Personally I am very impressed of the eclectic styles which look spontaneous, quirky and fortunately, the customer has the chance to decide between endlessly varied styles. I recommend you to have a look at the web page. My favourite ones are definitely the golden ones, the lady is wearing just below. Unfortunately I was not able to find them in the online shop yet, however, I will keep my eyes open! And so should you. Scroll down for more!

Some words of how you can imagine the atmosphere I hold in.
